ã Ñ, luego A
Ñ, luego E
ĩ Ñ, luego I
õ Ñ, luego O
ũ Ñ, luego U
Ñ Ñ, luego Mayús+Ñ
à Ñ, luego Mayús+A
Ñ, luego Mayús+E
Ĩ Ñ, luego Mayús+I

Presione…
ñ AltGr+N, luego N
ã AltGr+N, luego A
AltGr+N, luego E
ĩ AltGr+N, luego I
õ AltGr+N, luego O
ũ AltGr+N, luego U
Ñ AltGr+N, luego Mayús+N
à AltGr+N, luego Mayús+A
AltGr+N, luego Mayús+E
Ĩ AltGr+N, luego Mayús+I
Õ AltGr+N, luego Mayús+O
Ũ AltGr+N, luego Mayús+U
~ AltGr+N, luego Espacio

The Sáliba keyboard allows you to type ã/ẽ/ĩ/õ/ũ/ñ of the Saliban alphabet on your existing keyboard. All of the other letters used in Sáliba can already be typed on a typical keyboard (for example, on the Latin American keyboard included with most computers in Colombia), and those letters have the same keys on this keyboard layout.

Characters

In this keyboard Ñ becomes a “dead key” which means pressing it once will not insert any letter (as opposed to the Latin American keyboard, where pressing this key will insert the letter ñ); rather, you must press the Ñ is a placeholder, and it must be followed up with a second key to type one of the letters mentioned above. This is similar to the way that the accent key (´) is used to type an stress mark over vowels in Spanish.

For keyboards that lack a dedicated Ñ key, you can use the combination AltGr+N (Windows/Linux) or ⌥ Option+N (macOS).

To type… Press…
ñ Ñ, then Ñ (that is, press Ñ twice)
ã Ñ, then A
Ñ, then E
ĩ Ñ, then I
õ Ñ, then O
ũ Ñ, then U
Ñ Ñ, then Shift+Ñ
à Ñ, then Shift+A
Ñ, then Shift+E
Ĩ Ñ, then Shift+I
Õ Ñ, then Shift+O
Ũ Ñ, then Shift+U
~ Ñ, then Space

How to use AltGr+N

If you do not have a dedicated Ñ key on your keyboard, you must press AltGr and N at the same time, let go of both keys, then press the letter that the tilde (~) will go over.

Note: AltGr is the Alt key to the right of the spacebar.

Note: macOS users will press either ⌥ Option key instead of AltGr.

To type… Press…
ñ AltGr+N, then N
ã AltGr+N, then A
AltGr+N, then E
ĩ AltGr+N, then I
õ AltGr+N, then O
ũ AltGr+N, then U
Ñ AltGr+N, then Shift+N
à AltGr+N, then Shift+A
AltGr+N, then Shift+E
Ĩ AltGr+N, then Shift+I
Õ AltGr+N, then Shift+O
Ũ AltGr+N, then Shift+U
~ AltGr+N, then Space
