Keyman Desktop hangs when showing on screen keyboard when Visual Studio 6.0 script debugger is registered

Symptoms
On a system with Visual Studio 6.0 installed and its script debugger registered, Keyman Desktop can hang when the on screen keyboard is displayed.
Workaround
In Internet Explorer, Tools/Options/Advanced, select "Disable script debugging (other)" and restart Keyman Desktop.
Details
This appears to be a bug in the Visual Studio 6.0 Program Debug Manager pdm.dll. This problem does not occur with later versions of Visual Studio.
