Engram Keyboard Help
The Engram layout (deprecated 2021 version; website) is a key layout optimized for comfortable and efficient touch typing in English created by Arno Klein, based on legacy open source code to create other optimized key layouts. Letters are optimally arranged to reduce lateral finger movements, follow ergonomics principles, and facilitate high-frequency letter pairs. The most common punctuation marks are logically grouped together in the middle columns (accessed directly and by the Shift key) and numbers are paired with mathematical and logic symbols (accessed by the Shift Key):
