Hokkienese Telex Keyboard for Script of National Language for South Hokkienese Koc-Gứ-Dị

This Script of National Language for South Hokkienese Koc-Gứ-Dị is a writing system modified by Taiwanese POJ system and Teochew PUJ system.

This writing system absorbed features from Vietnamese, Polish, and Romanian script.

This script is easier for writing and reading comparing with POJ system

This script is suitable for all South Hokkienese dialects including Taiwanese and Teochew dialect.

Consonants "f" "đ" "v" and "r" is used for loanwords and representing sounds.

In south Hokkienese, the "ț" "tx" "x" "z" does not have a phoneme independent with "ch" "chh" "s" and "d". In some accents, "ch" "chh" "s" and "d" is likely to be pronouned as "ți" "txi" "xi" "zi"

In South Hokkienese, the consonant [ɗ] and [l] have not been differed.

In Amoy accent, the consonant "d" is likely to be pronounced as "đ".

When the "i" vowel is the initial vowel in a diphthong or triphthong or come alone and without any consonants other than [ʔ] at the front, the "i" should be spelt as "y", in order to avoid misreading with lowercase "l".

The vowel "o" is pronounced as "ă" in Taiwanese Accent, but still spelt as "o".

In some dialects, the [ɯ] "ư" vowel has already become to "i" or "u" sound.

The vowel "ô" is pronounced as [ou] in Teochew Accent

"iem" and "iep" phoneme in Taiwanese are pronounced as iam [iam] and iam [iap̚] in Teochew dialect

"iê" [iə̯] diphthong in Taiwanese are pronounced as "e" [e] in Teochew dialect

Vowel "ă" is used for loanwords and representing sounds

Diphthongs "ơe" and "ơu" exist in some Taiwanese and Amoy accent

Diphthongs "oi" "iô" and nasal vowel "ǫ̂" exist in Teochew accent

In south hokkienese language, the vowel "ê" [e] and the vowel "e" [ɛ] are mostly undifferentiated and interchangable

The "ong" and "oc" phoneme in Taiwanese can be pronounced as [ɔŋ] and [ɔk̚]

In many dialects, the sixth tone yỏng-siọng "ã" has disappeared.

In Taiwanese, the ninth tone mainly occures in tone sandhi and loanwords. The ninth tone is not specifically marked in the Koc-Gứ-Dị system.

doubletaping leads to generate original letters:

If more than one tone marking key is pressed, the last one will be used. For example, typing asf will return "ả". To write a tone marking key as a normal character, one has to press it twice: her becomes , while herr becomes her.

Punctuation and Capitalization

A space " " should be added between each words.

The first letter in one sentence should be capitalized.

The first letter in a proper noun such as the name of a particular person and place should be capitalized.

In an acronym, the first letter of each syllable should be capitalized, and a period "." can be added behind each capitalized letter.

In a multi-syllable word, the hyphen "-" should be added between each syllable.

Other uses of punctuation are similar with English and Vietnamese.
