Configure Complex Script Support
Keyman Desktop will detect if you need to install Complex Script support on your computer. You will not encounter this dialog if you are running Windows Vista.
You may need your Windows install CD in order to complete this process. Windows will install fonts and other required files to support the display of complex scripts such as Devanagari, Tibetan or Thai.
Note
Many computers now come with the Windows install files located on your hard disk. Typically, these will be located in C:\I386 or C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS. If you cannot locate your Windows install CD or files, please contact your hardware supplier for assistance.
You may be prompted during this process to "Run As Other User". If you are an administrator, choose to run the process as yourself, otherwise choose an appropriate administrator account to run with.
Note
Make sure that the checkbox "Protect against unauthorised system activity" is not ticked, or Windows will fail to install the script support correctly.
This Keyman dialog corresponds in Windows XP to the "Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages (including Thai)" check box in Control Panel/Regional and Language Options.
